The proxy checker tests each proxy from our server: it opens a connection using the selected protocol, requests a test page and records the response time and the address the request exited from. Logins and passwords are used only to authenticate with the proxy itself and are never stored.
How to use the proxy checker
- Paste your list, one address per line, in the ip:port or ip:port:login:password format.
- Choose the protocol: HTTP/HTTPS, SOCKS5 or SOCKS4. If you are not sure, start with HTTP.
- Click “Check”. Working addresses are marked green, unresponsive ones red.
- For working proxies you see the latency in milliseconds, the exit IP and the country.
To see which address a website sees when you browse through a proxy, open the My IP page.
What the results mean

Why a proxy fails the check
- Wrong protocol selected: an HTTP proxy does not answer a SOCKS5 handshake and vice versa.
- Whitelist authentication is enabled but the checker’s IP has not been added to it.
- The rental period has expired or the address has been replaced.
- A free public proxy is overloaded or already offline.

Does the checker store my proxies?
No. The list is processed in server memory and discarded after the response; request logs are not kept.
How many addresses can I check at once?
Up to 200 lines per check. For larger lists, run the check in batches or use the API in the dashboard.
Why does my proxy work in the browser but the checker shows an error?
Most likely IP whitelisting is enabled: add the checker’s address, shown under the form after the first run, to your whitelist, or temporarily switch to login and password authentication.
Does the checker test anonymity?
The checker shows the exit IP and country. To see the anonymity level and headers, open the My IP page through the proxy you are testing.
