Yandex is Russia's leading search engine, and proxies for Yandex SEO are a working tool for specialists and agencies that track rankings for hundreds of queries, collect search results and suggestions, or check how a site looks in different cities. Yandex limits the request rate per IP with a captcha and determines the SERP region from the address, so without a pool of regional proxies the data is incomplete.
For these tasks ProxyFarm supplies dedicated IPv4 from 79 ₽/mo (≈ $0.85), rotating proxies from 1 490 ₽/mo (≈ $16) and mobile proxies from Russian carriers MTS, Beeline, MegaFon and Tele2 from 490 ₽/mo (≈ $5). Access arrives automatically 2 minutes after payment.

Why an SEO specialist needs proxies for Yandex
SEO proxies solve three problems. The first is volume: one IP sustains a limited number of search queries per hour before the captcha appears. Spread across a pool of addresses, rankings for thousands of phrases can be collected in reasonable time.
The second is region. Yandex shows different results in Moscow, Novosibirsk and Krasnodar, and a regional IP is the most reliable way to see them through a local user's eyes. The region parameter in the query helps, but does not always match what a person in that city actually sees.
The third is independence from the office IP. If rankings are tracked from the office address, the whole office starts getting captchas, including staff doing ordinary searches.
Regional IPs: checking results by city
To check results by city you need addresses Yandex assigns to the right region. ProxyFarm's dedicated IPv4 proxies are issued to one customer only, with HTTPS and SOCKS5 on the same port; Russian addresses suit nationwide results and regional-settings checks.
If you need a specific city, take mobile proxies: our own farms are in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Kazan, and a carrier IP is tied to the region. A mobile address is also handy for checking mobile results, which differ from desktop.
For other Russian cities, residential proxies with city-level targeting from 290 ₽/GB fit. Regional pages: proxies in Moscow and proxies in Saint Petersburg.
Captchas and limits: how to stay under them
Yandex's captcha is a reaction to the request rate from one address, not to proxy use as such. Practical guidelines:
- one thread per 5–10 addresses, with a pause of several seconds between requests from one IP;
- for data-center IPv4 and IPv6, a response within 400 ms — if an address is slower, the scraper sits idle;
- do not mix rank tracking and staff's everyday work on the same IPs;
- when captchas appear, grow the pool rather than cutting timeouts.
For large-scale Yandex SERP scraping, rotation is more convenient: one port, a new IP for every request. The scraper connects to one address while we maintain the list and replace banned IPs. More on the rotating proxies page.
Which proxies to choose for the task
The proxy type depends on query volume and how much a specific region matters.
| Task | Proxy type | Price from |
|---|---|---|
| Rank tracking, 500–5 000 queries a day | Dedicated IPv4, pool of 10–20 addresses | 79 ₽ per IP |
| Large-scale SERP and suggestion scraping | Rotating proxies | 1 490 ₽/mo |
| Cheap large pool for Yandex | IPv6 | 12 ₽ per IP |
| Checking results in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan | Mobile proxies | 490 ₽/mo |
| Checking results in other cities | Residential, city-level targeting | 290 ₽/GB |
| One-off audit for 1–7 days | Any type, rental from 1 day | per type's plan |
Yandex is reachable over IPv6, so for a large pool that is the cheapest option. Rental for 1, 7, 30 and 90 days, 15 % off for a quarter.
Setup in Key Collector and other tools
Key Collector, the most popular Russian keyword research tool, takes a proxy list in its network settings in host:port:login:password format and spreads requests across the addresses itself. Set the thread count to the number of addresses divided by 5–10 and enable pauses between requests. Pull the list through the ProxyFarm dashboard API so you do not edit it by hand after an IP replacement.
If rankings are tracked by Topvisor or a similar cloud service, proxies are not needed — the service does that on its side. Rank-tracking proxies are required for in-house collection: Key Collector, A-Parser, Python scripts.
In A-Parser, proxies are loaded in Proxy Checkers; in your own scripts, via the HTTP client's proxy parameter. Before launch, check the pool with our proxy checker: country, response time, absence from spam databases. Addresses that do not suit Yandex are replaced free within the first 24 hours.
FAQ
How many proxies do I need for rank tracking?
Rule of thumb: one thread per 5–10 addresses. For 1 000 queries a day in one region, 10–20 dedicated IPv4 are enough. For tens of thousands of queries, rotating proxies or an IPv6 pool are more cost-effective.
Which proxies are better for Yandex — IPv4 or IPv6?
Yandex works over IPv6, so for a large pool IPv6 from 12 ₽ per address is cheaper. IPv4 from 79 ₽ is used when a tool does not support IPv6 or when you need stable addresses for authenticated services: Yandex Webmaster, Metrica, Direct.
Can I check results in a specific city?
Yes. Mobile channels give IPs in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Kazan; residential proxies offer city-level targeting in 48 countries, including Russian regions.
Why do I still get captchas while tracking rankings?
Too many requests to one address in a short time. Enlarge the pool, add pauses between requests and do not use the same IPs for other work. If a captcha appears on a fresh address right away, contact support and we will replace the IP.
Do the proxies work with Key Collector and A-Parser?
Yes, both tools accept a proxy list in host:port:login:password format and work over HTTP(S) and SOCKS5. The list can be fetched automatically through the dashboard API.
